Society Life: Greater Good

The House of Shine was recently featured in Society Life Magazine as an organization that aims to foster the greater good. The article, written by Jim Verdi, shares insight into the curriculum written, facilitated, and taught by the House of Shine team in classrooms throughout our community. Below is one small excerpt from the article.

“The goal of their child-focused program is to help create confident, engaged citizens through leadership programs for students of all ages.  Although House of Shine curriculum is developed by educators who have taught in traditional classroom settings, they developed this concept to fit informal spaces also, like lunchrooms, student centers and hallways. They believe and have tested the theory that learning happens when students exert physical and psychological energy. They have masterfully designed creative and engaging experiences that inspire students to do both.”
