Volunteer Opportunities
Craft Volunteer
Are you creative in a crafty sort of way? Do you like to paint, create, develop, imagine and innovate on a budget, using different mediums? Our craft volunteers create Shine tokens, teacher treats and gifts, and other Rise & Shine giveaways, to name just a few.

Centerpiece Co-coordinator
Do you love our centerpieces? Feel inspired to use your imagination and creativity to help craft and design them? This position is for you! This co-coordinator will work closely with our current centerpiece designer to execute Claudia’s vision Rise & Shine workshop centerpieces.

Shine Shop Volunteer
Sell products and answer questions related to merchandise in the Shine Shop. Shine Shop Volunteers will also merchandise and restock as necessary.

Born to Shine Birthday Party Coordinator
Help us celebrate the birthday boy or girl by facilitating pre-determined, Shine-related activities for a Born to Shine Birthday Party.

Kids’ Storytime Reader
Help us spread Shine by being a Kids’ Storytime Reader. In this role, you will foster a love of learning and reading by introducing young children to books, rhymes and other literacy-based activities that also help them discover their Shine.

Shineworks Coordinator
The Shineworks Coordinator is responsible for the creative aspect of the Shineworks program, which is best described as a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) project, paired with a Random Act of Kindness (RAK). This program offering for youth, ages 7-12, develops young people into leaders who understand the importance of encouraging the heart. The Shineworks Coordinator will identify everyday household items that can be transformed into gifts participants can present to someone who Shines in their corner of the world. The Shineworks Coordinator will work a minimum of 5-7 hours/week.

Shine Curriculum Facilitator
Do you love teaching? Our K-12 curriculum will be taught in our new space, and we need facilitators for these self-discovery workshops. Training will be provided.

Shineologist Tour Guide
Guide visitors through our self-discovery museum and help them unearth their Shine.

General Volunteer
If you aren’t certain of your availability and are willing to work on an as-needed basis, you are the perfect volunteer to make and decorate Shine tokens, make centerpieces, decorate for an event, create teachers’ gifts, and/or assist with data entry, social media, and other administrative tasks.
