Follow Your Shine
House of Shine is hosting a mother/daughter event (best suited for girls 3-6 grade) on Friday, March 2 from 7 to 9 pm, featuring author, Margo Manhattan, and her recently published book, Follow Your Star. The book explores the life of a young Margo, constantly in search of what makes her special and helps her shine. The event will feature a milk & cookies bar, a reading of Margo’s book and time for mothers and daughters to engage in a hands-on activity. To register, click here.
House of Shine and Margo Manhattan will also be at Barnes and Noble (Southlake Town Square) on Saturday, March 3 for Storytime and a House of Shine Bookfair. At 11:00 am, Storytime will feature Margo Manhattan as she reads her book, Follow Your Star, and shares her story. Following Storytime, Margo will be available to autograph books until 12:30.
If you are unable to participate in these events, simply stop in Barnes and Noble and visit the House of Shine book table where you will find several of our favorite titles, including children’s books such as Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beatty and adult reads such as Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor and StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath. On March 3rd, a percentage of your purchase will benefit House of Shine programs when you present your voucher or mention House of Shine at the register.
