DO52: Prod and See
DO52™ is an adventure and like most adventures that means it is unpredictable and that now two outcomes are ever exactly the same. All you have to do to participate is decide that each of the fifty-two sticks contained in a set are like keys to a better more enlightened you. Within minutes of my posting my new verbs for the week, I got a Facebook message from my friend Misty. She was hoping she could claim my verbs by prodding me to set up a date so we could see one another again.
I am finding friendships are harder to maintain when your kids are young and busy school schedules, birthday parties, sporting teams, and other commitments has each of us moving in countless different directions. Yet maintaining friendships when you are in the eye of the parenting storm can feel more important than ever and, though my assertion is purely anecdotal, I cannot help but believe there is a relationship between how connected we are and brightly we feel like we shine.
So, while I was bound to the house I was free from all of my normal commitments and work responsibilities. Misty's suggestion was perfectly timed and just like that my DO52 adventure for last week was effortlessly executed.
My next DO52 adventure is sponsored by the verb SPEND. That just sounds like fun, doesn't it?
