Shineworks: Soak Up Some Fun
When the cat is away, the mice will play. And spread shine.
It turns out that while I was in Florida soaking up sun and using sponges to make sponge bombs, the House of Shine crew was back in Texas using sponges to create a their own Shineworks Project for June.
I think it's because using an everyday household item to spread shine in your corner of the world is not only easy to do, but it feels good. Even if I'm not around to push and prod and cheerlead.
And what a cute idea they came up with! I love the idea of using sponges to spell out the word shine and then incorporating the letters into a beautifully wrapped package. I wasn't around to see what treats were included or who the final recipient was, but I am imaging them to be things like water balloons and water guns, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. All the things you would need to set your summer right.
Or could it be bath supplies?
Or kitchen accessories?
Or even art supplies because using sponge letters would be perfect for stamping a shine message!
The list of ways we could spread shine in our corner of the world using sponges is endless.
Only that's not totally true, because today marks the first day of July, so we're putting sponges behind us and moving on to a new household item.
This month the everyday household item we will be using to spread shine is…
a coffee filter!
