The Hardest Part of Shining Isn’t Sharing, It’s…
The hardest part of sharing yourself isn't actually the sharing.
It's the being and the doing.
It's being disciplined enough to align your heart, hands, and head to follow through on your thoughtful ideas.
My boys and I woke up early this morning to share a small piece of ourselves with a dear friend who is celebrating her 7th birthday.
We decorated her driveway with sidewalk chalk and left a small treat on her doorstep.
It wasn't hard
but it was early and we were tired.
And we did it anyway, because shining means aligning your heart, hands, and head.
Our hearts knew this simple act of generosity was the right thing to do, but this morning when our alarms went off at 5:15, our heads got busy trying to convince us that it was too early and our idea was unnecessary, impractical, and wouldn't be missed.
Since today is “Say-Something-Nie-Day”, so we also stopped at a local park and left an invitation:
How about you? Can you align your heart, hands, and head today and go out of your way to say something nice to someone deserving?
