Shineworks: Under Construction

I am a big believer that communities are more fun and more vibrant when members choose to engage and participate

and dare I say, initiate!

It's one of the reasons that the House of Shine continues showing up every month waving the Shineworks banner.

This Shine-sponsored program couldn't be easier. All you have to do is repurpose an everyday household item (that we identify) to create a token of appreciation that can be given to someone who shines.

It could be a teacher who continues pouring into your children,

the baristas who greet you each morning,

newspaper or mail carriers who visit your home daily, or the

Girl Scout leaders, coaches, and policemen who happily do their part to keep your corner of the world moving along smoothly.

This month the random household item that we challenge you to use is an old tissue box.

And, while we're giving you a sneak peak at what we're cooking up for May, there is plenty more to see when we share our big reveal later this month.

The question is, what will you make with your tissue box?
