Solar Eclipse of the Sun
For the past three or four weeks I've been feeling as though life is moving at break neck speed and that I just need one extra day to catch up.
There are papers that need filing, nooks that need straightening, items that need purging, and a strong craving for some free time to think, plan, write, or create. Those are the little things that, when tended to, make me feel like I shine brighter.
So I've decided to schedule my own Solar Eclipses.
True that the moon might only pass over the sun two or so times a year, but at my house – the House of Shine – eclipses are going to happen every six weeks.
On a Friday, to be exact.
That's because the term “eclipse” is derived from an ancient Greek verb (ekleipo) which means to abandon, to darken, or to cease to exist. To be absent.
And being absent from the normal grind every sixth Friday is exactly what my team and I need to shine brighter the following Monday.
So our calendars are marked for 10 Friday's in the next 12 months:
April 3, and
We'll go dark on those days, but no worries, because when we return we'll be sure to shine brighter.
