Shineworks: Pocket Full of Sunshine

The start of a new month means the start of yet another opportunity to spread shine in your corner of the world.

Sure, there are lots of ways to do it, but we're partial to the Shineworks-Way.

It's easy.

It's inexpensive.

It's personal.

It'll flex your creative muscles, and

It's the perfect way to spread shine in someone else's corner of the world.

Take last month, for instance.

The Shineworks item for last month was DENIM.

Rather than using the entire pair of jeans, we decided to get creative with the pockets, so Kyleigh got busy repurposing our jeans into Pockets Full of Shine.

Inside each carefully decorated pocket was a notepad and pencil, a framed quote, a yellow lollipop, yellow magnets, a Starbucks gift card, and a handful of other trinkets.

As if making them wasn't rewarding enough then Sunday morning our finished pockets were secretly placed in church pews!

Pure goodness. That's what we love about the Shineworks initiative!

Ready to give it a try? This month's designated item is…

drum

roll,

please…

A PENCIL (or PENCILS)!

And, since this month we are using pencils to spread shine, we suggest presenting your finished Shineworks project to one of your favorite educators.
