You didn't think we were going to host some kind of Best of the Best competition and then not enter ourselves did you? Silly mortals.
Not a chance.
Today marks the third day of our four-day Tournament of Ideas. Tomorrow is the Championship. Three teams, three days, three favorite ideas. Tuesday's winning idea was the California Golden Girl's Perfect Brownie Pan set. Yesterday, Military Moms shared their favorite ideas from 2009. Readers spoke and voted www.tastyplanner.com. as their best idea. Today, the ladies and I show you what we're made of. Nothing but pure SHINE. Put on your shades people.
In the end there can only be one winner. This ain't no sissy soccer league where anyone with a grass stain and a runny nose gets awarded a trophy. No, here you gotta bring it or you leave with nothin', zippo, zilch, the big bagel. Go big or go home. And, you better not let me win or you can guarrr-own-tee I'll be gloating about it until next March.
Sit up and pay attention, because it's the last time I'll repeat the rules of play.
You already voted for a winner Tuesday and Wednesday. If you didn't, too bad. Either get in the game and vote or sit your fanny back down on the bench. Check out the Ray's Angels favorite picks from 2009, bask in the light of our greatness, and then vote for which of our three ideas you like best.
Then tomorrow, yes tomorrow you must return to the House of Shine for the final steps. Step #1: vote for which of the three winning ideas (California Golden Girls, Military Moms, or Rays Angel's) you like the BEST OF THE BEST. Step #2: Visit the Community Forum to tell us about your favorite find of 2009. But none of that happens until Friday. Not until Friday.
Back to today.
Brace yourself. Below are our three favorite ideas from 2009. I could have gone this alone and come up with three kick butt ideas, but I'm working on being a little less snarky so Claudia will get off my @$$.
Idea #1
Packaged as a set of 6 for a mere $1.99 these dishes are microwave and dishwasher safe, BPA free, and perfectly sized for the child in your life. And for those children with emerging independence they provide your little tyke the choice of color each time they sit down to a meal. They are also so cheap that if Cheerios bond chemically to the side of them after sitting under a couch for a week, you just throw them in the trash. These have also been a saving grace for play dates as each child has a different color cup/bowl/plate/silverware combo so there is no confusion as to whose is whose. Because they are only $1.99 it doesn’t feel as painful to lose one (or six) since they are easily replaced.
Idea #2

The WalletBe™ Small Women's Black Accordion Leather I.D. Zipper Wallet is practical, functional and compact, yet it holds as much as many of the larger, bulkier wallets! Find the credit cards you want, quickly and without hassle. Increase your wallet capacity with this secure travel wallet- it holds at least 9 cards (one per slot), your I.D., cash and features a separate zippered pouch for your change. The small women's black accordion leather I.D. zip wallet conveniently displays your I.D. in stores or airports without having to unsnap or open it. It's a great and secure travel accessory because it features a secure elastic band to keep your cash in place. Easily fits in your pocket, carry-on bag or inside a small handbag. The small women's black accordion I.D. zip wallet is made of supple, durable 100% full grain leather. Works well for travelers, even better for everyday use!
Idea #3

Shine Dammit. This t-shirt sporting yours truly is direct and to the point. Tell the people around you that you expect more. It's a great conversation piece. Think about how much fun you'll have explaining why a light bulb is telling people to Shine Dammit. It's especially fun to try to explain to those that have never nor will ever shine. The glazed and confused look in their eyes is worth the price of admission $20.00 (including shipping and handling. Just send an email through Contact Us).
You've seen our three entries, now vote in the poll below to tell us which is your favorite. Then hop on over to the Community Forum, labeled Today's Post to tell us what you know and think of our entries.
Remember to tune in tomorrow for the Final Showdown. Until then, shining off.
