March Madness: Military Moms

If you are new to our site, Welcome.  You are right in the nick of time.  This week we have a tournament going on that we think rivals the other March Madness.  Read on.

Three teams.  Each team presents their three favorite ideas from the year 2009.  Readers vote on which of the three ideas presented each day is best.  Friday we do two things.  First, we vote on which of the winning ideas from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday was the BEST OF THE BEST.  Second, we provide space for you to share an idea, product, or service you discovered in 2009 that you think is great.  That's on Friday.  Not until Friday.

It seems the Perfect Brownie Pan Set was the hands down winner from yesterday.  Congratulations California Golden Girls for a job well done.  Their Brownie Pan Set advances to Friday's Championship Game.

Military Moms are on the offense.  Check out their three favorite ideas from 2009:

Idea #1

www.tastyplanner.com: Tasty Planner is here to help you create, plan and share recipes, menus, grocery lists and more. This site takes out all the hassle in planning great meals for you. They will also help you make a few chef friends along the way.  Use this site to browse create and share recipes, save your favorite recipes to your Recipe Box, make a meal calendar and plan meals for a week, and allow you to create a simplified and automated grocery list.

Idea #2

www.mysimon.com: MySimon is a comparison shopping website owned by CBS Interactive. The site offers shopping recommendations, buying advice, and side by side price comparisons for various products. The site directs users to other shopping sites such as Amazon.com when searching for products.

Idea #3

The Help, written by Kathryn Stockett: In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women--mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends--view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

Once you have reviewed all three ideas, vote on which of the three you like best.  Is it Food (TastyPlanner), Shopping (MySimon), or Reading (The Help)?  Place you vote below.  Then, like yesterday, meet us in the Community Forum labeled, Today's Post to tell us if you've had experience with any of the today's entries.

Shining off until tomorrow...
