Suggestions for your trip:
-decorate the car with window paint
-chalk the sidewalks of whatever town you end up in with SHINE
-take some of the shine principle postcards and place them in random mailboxes in the town you end up in
-I LOVE the idea of finding someone for YEP
-Hang a copy of the shine manifesto in a bathroom along the way
-Eat a yellow snack (ice cream, cookie, cupcake, etc.)
-Get a group of people to lay in the grass and spell out the word SHINE with their bodies
-Whenever you are taking a group of people, instead of saying "cheese" they have to say "shine"

Ooooh... nice going, Katie. Way to get us off on the right boot.

I especially love the idea of sidewalk chalk. I'm picking some up today!

Contact the local newspaper and get a reporter interested to go on journey with u. Go to the airport and meet the troops coming home. Hand them YE from your audience. YE should be sent to u. Notes from grateful citizens to our protectors. Aim for 4th.

Have your followers do the same at their local airport on same day. Go nationwide.

If you watched celebrity apprentice... John Rich had cowboy boots with his 'suit'... granted it was western style suit... but with the right color.... I think boots would look great for Richard.

You use your GPS to find points and when you make the destination there is often a treasure box that you can find little goodies and or a journal.... maybe not for this Sunday... but it might be something fun to check out.

Cheryl what word were you looking for? A Treasure Hunt... or a Road Rally? thats another one, where you are given clues and have to get to a destination by following hints.... someone of course has to do the path before hand to make the clues... but it is a great event if done right.

I did a scavenger hunt when I went to St. John many years ago and it was four person teams and we all had to be in each photo for the 10 items.

I think you should paste, draw, chalk Ray everywhere you go - like a "Where's Waldo" but "Where's Ray" and leave your website or Shine details at the scene titled "For: Whoever finds Ray". List the places you stopped and left Ray and see how many of the locations you hear back from - that would sure shine!
There are a few town festivals going on, but keep in mind Sunday morning in Plano is SGK Race for the Cure i.e. traffic; Summer antiques show in Brenham; Kerrville Folk Festival; Buda Weiner Dog race and Country Fair; lots of TX fun depending on which way you go and turn along the way! Excited to see where you end up - and which town(s) Ray lights up on your journey!
