Those of you who know anything about the House of Shine know that it wouldn't be possible to be on the eve of this momentous occasion and not hear from me. I am, after all, the heart and soul of this place. The one that adds a dose of tough love and a purple boot to the ass when you need it. I've decided to start celebrating early. When I think back on all the times over the last three years that I've been called upon to do the dirty work; the late nights, the early mornings, the buck up little camper speeches, the cutesy names I've been saddled with, it's enough to make me need a drink.....or five.
I'm on t-shirts and coffee mugs, post cards, plates, stickers, aprons, furniture, jeans, wall art, cookies, pencils, notepads, twitter, facebook... Need I go on? I am the not so gentle but adorable symbol of what it takes to Shine. And after three years, my friends, I am ready to party like it's 1999.
As I toast my accomplishments over the last three years, I'd like you to do a little reflecting as well. What are your favorite memories? We've come a long way together. Mostly thanks to me, of course. Mostly. Oh, Ok. You deserve some credit too. Ok, I'm going to go grab another one and tell the bartender about the time someone shipped us a cake....in a box...just loose in a box...through the post office. I love that story. What about you?
