Psst...

SoiRay here.

Those of you who know anything about the House of Shine know that it wouldn't be possible to be on the eve of this momentous occasion and not hear from me.  I am, after all, the heart and soul of this place.  The one that adds a dose of tough love and a purple boot to the ass when you need it.  I've decided to start celebrating early.  When I think back on all the times over the last three years that I've been called upon to do the dirty work; the late nights, the early mornings, the buck up little camper speeches, the cutesy names I've been saddled with, it's enough to make me need a drink.....or five.

I'm on t-shirts and coffee mugs, post cards, plates, stickers, aprons, furniture, jeans, wall art, cookies, pencils, notepads, twitter, facebook...  Need I go on?  I am the not so gentle but adorable symbol of what it takes to Shine.  And after three years, my friends, I am ready to party like it's 1999.

As I toast my accomplishments over the last three years, I'd like you to do a little reflecting as well.  What are your favorite memories?  We've come a long way together.  Mostly thanks to me, of course.  Mostly.  Oh, Ok.  You deserve some credit too.  Ok, I'm going to go grab another one and tell the bartender about the time someone shipped us a cake....in a box...just loose in a box...through the post office.  I love that story.  What about you?  What are your favorites?

SoiRay Out.

Favorite memories...Yes definitely the Olympic Decathlon and the shipped cake. How about our Awards Ceremony for our 1st Anniversary dressed in full Award Show regalia?
I laugh out loud when I think about Claudia popping out of that box dressed as a mermaid (you couldn't have paid me a MILLION...oh strike that I'd do it for way less than a million).
Oooh and Taste of USA...loved the chance to meet everyone face to face.
I liked the Serendipitous journey that Claudia, Cheryl and Katie took to visit Chaotic in Austin.
I loved the YEP story about the lady who works at Walmart in Arizona and especially how later her nominee got to hear about how awesome it was to get our notes.
There are far too many to document here but those are a few.

LMAO!!! The "Wrap video", and the armadillo cookies :). I will think on it more and be back later. SoiRay..."You light up my life, you give me hope".

The cake! Definitely a high point! Taste of USA in PA! Laughing at that restaurant where the waitress was so abrupt and laughing so hard about the shipped cake story that my cheeks hurt! Trey and his philly cheesesteak debacle. Running in the hurricane rains. Amy B. laughing and saying, "You wanna dance Mr. Chicken!"

The Decathlon was so much fun. I still have my award in my entry hallway. I agree wtih Heather and the mermaid in a box.

Heather's flip flop challenge! Priceless! And, Box of Shine party. And, that wrap video was hilarious to do. Thank God Heather did the most of it.

Being stuck in Kentucky, going to Hard Rock Cafe with Claudia and Heather, playing terminal.... bingo? Let's make a deal? What would you have called that game we played? And creating a fun little Anniversary party for that couple that missed their anniversary party. Oh! And remember that really cute boy? He had a girlfriend but he was cute. So much fun!

I could go on and on. OH! And the Shine Plate gathering was too much fun. Such great ladies in Southlake! :)

I love the award show, or anytime y'all are on camera. I love the challenges when you would show what you created or let the readers post their take on the challenge, pictures and all! I love the way Cheryl would incorporate the Ray-volution and the puns and events with the snarky drawings, kick butt! Love the 'how to' basics, because sometimes I forget it's the little stuff... like how to make an awesome ribbon tie on a gift, how to decorate a package with the most "pow" er, how to make a 13 layer cake, or that anytime is a good time to give a RAK.
    Thanks for the memories...
