If your tuned in for yesterday's post about wishbones and today for another Thanksgiving idea, you might be left wondering what any of this has to do with shining. We are, after all, a website focused on teaching and creating principles of shine.
Must I remind you of Shine Principle #10: Spread Shine?
Spreading Shine can be as simple as pumping new life into tired, old family traditions.
Today's idea shines, first, because it capitalizes on the fact that November is Family Story Telling Month. Second, the idea provides a lively alternative to family and friends sharing all the reasons they are thankful (most of which are the same as last year).

Use these prompts to create a series of Conversation Cards. Place one card at the seat of each guest or build them in to your centerpiece.
- Describe the house in which you lived when you were a child.
- Share something special about the neighborhood where you grew up.
- What was your favorite place to visit when you were a child?
- Describe your father or mother as you remember looking at them when you were small.
- Who were your favorite cousins?
- Who were your favorite teachers?
- How did you meet your spouse? Describe your wedding.
- What is a special holiday custom shared in your family?
- What were your favorite past times growing up?
- Are you wearing a special piece of jewelry? If so, when did you get it? Who is it from?
Visit us in the Community Forum labeled, Today's Post and do any number of things. Pose another question, tell us how you might distribute Conversation Cards to your guests, or pick one of the questions and share your answer with the rest of us.
Shining off until tomorrow...
