The first day of the House of Shine's Third Annual Triathlon proved to be harder than expected, but still fun and definitely a good test of hands.  Congratulations to the following people for having a sense of adventure and for making time to join in our fun: Peggy, Karlie, Robin, Molly, Kate, Cristine, and Misty.

The name of the game for those just tuning in is this: The House of Shine is hosting a three-day, three-event triathlon - Shine style!  That means, rather than testing your athleticism we test your shine quotient.  One's shine quotient is made up things such as creativity, persistence, passion, attention to detail, and unrelenting belief that you - yes you - can make a difference in your corner of the world.

Three of our registered triathletes will walk away with cash prizes, and all of them will be justly rewarded with this year's edition of our, "Tri It 2010" t-shirt.  Thanks again, Cheryl, for our great design.

Today's leg of the race will feature our participants' hearts... or should I say heartstrings!

For today's challenge, use string to tell us about something that tugs at your heart.  The winning entry will (1) be creative, (2) communicate passion, and (3) be easily understood.  Pictures must be emailed to shine@houseofshine.com by 10:00 pm. CST.  Most of you won't be surprised by mine...
