Yeah, Joan of Arc shines. No doubt about it.
So does Blueberry Cobbler in the summertime.
Ever since living in Watkinsville Georgia, summer isn't complete until we've whipped up at least one batch of Miller's Blueberry Cobbler. The Miller family owns a blueberry patch off Union Church Road and one of our favorite past times, while living in this quaint town, was visiting their farm and leaving with buckets and buckets of blueberries.
The Miller Family shines because they don't just kind-of-sort-of do blueberries, they DO BLUEBERRIES! They do blueberries like like the readers at House of Shine do yellow envelopes.
Visit their patch and you will collect a stack of recipes, tried and true, for delectable treats in a shade of blue. Make Blueberry Muffins, Blueberry Squares, Patriotic Parfait, Quick Blueberry Biscuits, Blueberry Coffee Cake, Blueberry Torte, Blueberry-Apple Crisp, Blueberry Nut Loaf, Blueberry Salad Dressing, Blue Moon Salad, Blueberry Crunch, Blueberry Ice Cream, and so much more....
But the Beeny's all-time favorite recipe is and always will be the Miller's unbelievable Easy Blueberry Cobbler.
Ingredients: 3/4- 1 Stick of butter (we go with the full stick); 1 cup sugar; 1 cup flour; 2 teaspoons baking powder; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 3/4 cup milk; and 2 cups blueberries with 1/2 cup sugar.

Melt butter in deep baking bowl or dish. Make batter of 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour batter into middle of melted butter. Do not stir.

Into middle of batter pour blueberries mixed with 1/2 cup sugar. Do not stir.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees (Watch your oven. We usually take ours out before the hour mark).

Your crust will rise to the top and look a little something like this 8 x 8 slice of heaven on earth.

Add vanilla ice cream and serve while warm.

Give it a whirl. In five days National Blueberry Month will be over and your excuse to try this yummy dessert will go right along with it.
Besides, think of all the antioxidants.
Shining off until tomorrow...
