When something really shines it is hard not to go back for seconds and thirds. Last night I baked brownies in my All Edges Brownie Pan and that is exactly what I was thinking to myself. Man, these brownies shine!
The same holds true for treats with zero grams of fat - things such as a brand of jeans that fits just right; a series of books from an author you love; or Dine By Design, my favorite annual event in Colleyville, Texas. It's hard not to go back for more.
Newcomers to our site need a little background.
Two years ago a dear friend pulled up into my driveway and insisted that I grab my camera and get in her car. She whisked me off to a local church where the women's ministry was hosting their annual dinner, Dine By Design. The room was filled with eighty tables, each decorated with a different theme and each done up to the nines. Elaborate centerpieces, hand painted plates, matching napkins, complimentary seat covers, and themed party favors were carefully placed at each seat. Simply put, the event was a feast for the eyes.
Last year I went back for a second helping and the spread was every bit as yummy.

Still not too full, I went back for another serving this year. Again, tasty triumph. The experience did not disappoint.

Flat out, that idea shines. Large groups of women coming together to exercise their creativity and then celebrating the fruits of their labor - all while enjoying fellowship with one another. It is the perfect recipe for Shine.
Today we celebrate three years of Dine By Design and the first of a three-part series for the House of Shine. Tune in tomorrow for the second course.
Until then, shining off.
